Big Girls Can Pull Too....

I don't know why so many people think that since you are fat, you can only pull another fat person or someone that is ugly. They are SO WRONG! I am living witness to breaking this myth. Although I love all types, most of the men I have dated have been thin and attractive. It is all about having confidence and loving the skin you are in. If you show that you are insecure, that is how you will look on the outside. If you have a positive attitude and carry yourself as such, it will shine though. You will be magnetic, trust me. The same goes with big guys as well. I know plenty of them who have style and confidence that is out of this world and have women lining up for them!

The bottom line is LOVE YOURSELF and don't let anyone tell you to settle for less. And if you are with someone that doesn't make you feel like the sexist guy/girl alive, give 'em the pink slip!

Below is a video from one of my fav Youtubers, TatianaMercedes, she drives the point home. Enjoy.

Back Like I Never Left....

So...it has been like a month since I posted anything, which is sad. It is just that my job takes up A LOT of my time. Since I work at night, in the daytime I am trying to catch up on rest. But, I have the day off so I can just, write....

So, first things first, I have met some interesting people.....good, bad, and downright ugly. These Chicagoans are something else.

And WHY are some people treat you like shit just because you have education? Mind you, I am not one of those people that throw around their credentials in folk's faces....But if you ask me if I went to college, I will tell you. I worked too hard to be ashamed of my degrees.

And I have met some of the sweetest people. They are the ones that don't fit in the traditional mold. They are truly squares among circles. And that is a great thing because, I am a square. LOL

I am still trying to reach my goals and I will not settle for the bottom. I got work to do.....

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?: Noosa

I was in Target picking up a few things, and I came across this. I was looking for something sweet to indulge in but didn't want to go on calorie overload. So I give this a try. I usually eat Chobani, but I was like, "What the hell?". LOL. When I tell you this yogurt was the best yogurt I had in my life so far, I mean every single word of it. Maybe it is the Colorado cows. Maybe it is the Aussie secret. I don't care. I JUST WANT MORE!!!!!

Netflix Pick: "Fashion"

Okay, let me first start off by saying that I did not think that this movie would be all  that and a bag of chips. This movie was recommended to be by Netflix because I watch so much Bollywood. I thought it would be some overacted, over- ''musical-lized'' plot....but it wasn't. If you don't know me, one thing you must learn is that I love the sacred art of fashion. That is something I don't fool around with. So, if someone is going to put out a fashion movie, they'd better bring it.

"Fashion" was about an aspiring model named Meghna, who wanted to follow her dreams of making it big in the fashion capital of Mumbai. Along the way, she sees the good, bad, and ugly that life in the limelight brings. "Fashion" reminded me of "The Devil Wears Prada" from a model's point of view. The movie even stepped out of the traditional Indian way of making movies (being modest) by showcasing homosexuality, premarital affairs, and showing large amounts of skin. That is a great step towards showing what is really happening in everyday life. Indian cinema is KNOWN for censoring movies that they don't think is modest enough (Karma Sutra: A Tale of Love, anyone?). They wouldn't even allow kissing on the lips!

But check it out if you have Netflix.....you will enjoy it.

LOL Files: Trips, Falls and Fun on the Catwalk

I came across this on Youtube by chance. This is too much for me. Fashion and comedy, it couldn't get any better. This is also a tie in to my next blog post. Stay tuned.

Enjoy the clip!
